Mark was born in North Carolina and traveled extensively before permanently relocating to the Pacific Northwest over 30 years ago. He worked professionally as a chef and pastry chef for many years at several notable Seattle establishments before leaving the culinary world to attend the University of Washington, eventually graduating with a degree in Computing and Software Systems. Mark went on to work in the technology field, most recently concluding a 17-year career at Microsoft supporting developers across multiple Microsoft divisions.
Besides spending time with his family, Mark fills his free time writing and playing music, designing and building furniture for his home, and experimenting with the latest 3D printing technology.
